AVVISO PER LA SELEZIONE DI N. 2 BORSISTI

- I partecipanti devono essere di età non superiore a 35 anni (anche computi) in possesso di laurea magistrale (DM 509/1999 e DM 270/2004) o laurea quadriennale ai sensi degli ordinamenti previgenti il DM 509/1999. Per le persone disabili il limite di età è elevato ai 40 anni (anche compiuti).

- La durata di ciascuna borsa è di 10 mesi; l’importo di € 6.000 lordi, non comprensivi degli oneri riflessi a carico dell’istituzione.

- Progetto di afferenza: PHILE – Philosophia&Leges.

- Attività oggetto delle borse di studio: implementazione dei dati codicologici, testuali e bibliografici dei manoscritti filosofici catalogati con il Progetto CODEX

– Inventario dei Manoscritti Medievali della Regione Toscana, con particolare attenzione ai manoscritti di ambito universitario.

- Si richiede una preparazione specifica in filosofia e/o filologia e/o storia della cultura medievale; conoscenze paleografiche; capacità di effettuare ricerche bibliografiche; di utilizzare i repertori di àmbito e le risorse on-line specifiche (banche dati bibliografiche e biblioteche digitali) e la padronanza dei principali programmi informatici.

- Le candidature dovranno essere presentate tramite domanda di partecipazione con allegati il curriculum vitae che espliciti il possesso dei requisiti ed eventuali altri titoli utili alla valutazione e saranno esaminate da una commissione composta dal Presidente (prof. Agostino Paravicini Bagliani), dal Direttore (prof. Francesco Santi) e dalla Responsabile di Settore (dott.ssa Gabriella Pomaro) della SISMEL. La commissione valuterà le domande e la documentazione prodotta sulla base dei criteri di merito stabiliti e potrà convocare per un colloquio i candidati, stilando alla fine una graduatoria di idoneità.

- La presentazione della propria candidatura esclude la possibilità di presentare altra analoga presso altre istituzioni culturali di rilievo regionale.

- Le borse di studio saranno assegnate solo nel caso in cui il progetto di afferenza venga ammesso al finanziamento regionale.

Al conferimento delle borse di studio gli assegnatari dovranno stipulare una polizza assicurativa contro gli infortuni e per danni a terzi di durata pari a quella delle borse di studio, avente come riferimento la sede di fruizione delle borse e le attività ad esse correlate.

Titolo: Methodology and Archive User Requirements for Studies about Medieval Texts

Obiettivo della ricerca: 1. Il progetto di ricerca per il quale si bandisce il presente assegno ha rapporto diretto con gli obiettivi del work package 4 (Methodology and Archive User Requirements) del Progetto CENDARI. Collaborative European Digital Archive Infrastructure.

2. Tale progetto ha come problema generale: (a) lo studio delle metodologie di ricerca nell’ambito di archivi digitali; (b) la definizione delle specifiche d’uso necessarie alla creazione di un’infrastruttura correlata, anche in relazione alle possibilità di un’evoluzione del funzionamento di tali infrastrutture rispetto allasituazione attuale.

3. La ricerca dovrà in particolare e in concreto svolgersi con l’elaborazione di casi di studio chiaramente definiti, che abbiano relazione con tipologie di ricerca su fonti medievali (e in particolare latine) effettivamente significative nella comunità scientifica, poste in relazione con le metodologie applicate nelle infrastrutture esistenti, mostrando di queste limiti e possibilità.

4. La ricerca dovrà giungere a definire le migliori pratiche attuabili per l’evoluzione delle infrastrutture in uso, anche favorendone l’integrazione.

Importo lordo: € 24.000,00 (euro ventiquattromila/00)

Durata:12 mesi (dal 1 settembre 2013 al 31 agosto 2014).

The Claudio Leonardi Fellowship of the Zeno Karl Schindler Foundation for Medieval Latin Studies has been established to support scholarship in Medieval Latin Studies - in particular, research by young scholars - with a grant-in-aid in honor of Claudio Leonardi (1926-2010), founder and first president of the Società Internazionale per lo Studio del Medioevo Latino (S.I.S.M.E.L.).

The grant will allow one scholar (doctoral or postdoctoral candidate) to spend a period of three to six months abroad pursuing research in his/her chosen field with a monthly stipend of 2,000 Swiss francs. In addition, the recipient may make use of an additional subsidy of 3,000 Swiss francs toward the cost of publication of his/her doctoral thesis or postdoctoral research on condition that the printed publication indicates the foundation support (“published with the support of the Zeno Karl Schindler-Stiftung.“)

The fellowship assignment will be made during the annual S.I.S.M.E.L. General Meeting which will be held on April 12th, 2014. The winner will then be given the opportunity to present a fifteen-minute lecture on his/her research or on particular aspects of his/her doctoral or postdoctoral research.

The International Society for Medieval Latin Studies (S.I.S.M.E.L.), announces the creation of a fellowship in honour of Claudio Leonardi (1926-2010), its founder and first President.
The grant will allow one scholar (postdoc) to spend a period of one year pursuing research on Medieval Latin culture and texts.

• The fellowship is awarded with a monthly net stipend of 1.500 Euro.
• The fellowship will start on January 2013.
• The fellow will hold two seminars and three lessons in the SISMEL courses during his fellowship.

Nel dicembre 2012 la SISMEL ha inaugurato i locali della nuova sede, in una porzione di un palazzo storico nel centro di Firenze situato in Via Montebello n. 7, tra la stazione ferroviaria di Santa Maria Novella e l'Arno. Il palazzo, che è stato edificato nel 1873, è stato dichiarato nel 2005 di interesse ai sensi dell’art. 10 comma 1 del D.Lgs. 22 gennaio 2004 n. 42. Tutte le attività della SISMEL sono state trasferite qui nel corso del 2013, con il completamento dei lavori di ristrutturazione del palazzo.

Nella vecchia sede della Certosa del Galluzzo si conserva un deposito librario per materiale di consultazione meno frequente.

Nello stesso palazzo di via Montebello ha sede anche la Fondazione Ezio Franceschini, con la quale la SISMEL ha condiviso per 25 anni i locali della Certosa.
